We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you "Get Involved," sign up for our newsletter, or register for events. This may include:

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and city of residence.

  • Community Roles: Whether you are a parent, student, educator, or community member.

  • Interests: Your preference for K-12 school issues or municipal/community advocacy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Send segmented newsletters and "Advocacy Alerts" relevant to your interests.

  • Coordinate local volunteer opportunities and student leadership programs.

  • Process donations through our fiscal sponsor, the Bay Area Center to Counter Antisemitism (BACCA).

4. Third-Party Links and Partnerships

  • ActNowK12.org: Our website links to ActNowK12.org for incident reporting. CHAI Marin does not own or manage the data submitted to ActNowK12. Your use of that platform is governed by their specific privacy and confidentiality protocols.

  • Fiscal Sponsorship: Donations are processed externally by BACCA, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We do not store your credit card or financial banking information on our servers.

5. Data Storage and Security

Our website is built on the Wix platform, and our forms utilize Jotform with conditional logic to ensure data is handled securely and routed to the appropriate volunteer lead (e.g., K-12 vs. Community). We do not sell or rent your personal information to third-party "bad actors" or commercial entities.

6. Confidentiality of Incident Guidance

While we provide guidance to families facing antisemitic discrimination, we maintain strict confidentiality regarding the details shared with our volunteer "incident response teams".

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in our grassroots operations or legislative environment (e.g., updates following the passage of AB 715).
